Skiing is a great way for families to bond in the wintertime, as the slopes can provide memories that will last for years to come. But it’s important to have concussion safety in mind to ensure everyone is both happy and safe. Knowing these best practices is particularly important if your child participates in skiing competitively. To help ensure the health and safety of young athletes, CDC developed the HEADS UP Concussion in Youth Sports initiative to offer information about concussions to coaches, parents, and athletes involved in youth sports.
